about

Special thanks to my wonderful English friend, Daniel Romp, for editing my poetry, deciphering what this song was meant to say, and helping me execute that on paper. Special thanks to Gabriel Norwood, who's voice and passion for lyricism is a gift from God. Appreciate the both of you so much!

lyrics

how is it that something i cant even touch

can introduce my knees to the floor, torment my soul, or make me happier than i thought humanly possible

love is a reckless surgeon

how is it that something i cant even touch

possess the ability to control me better than myself, humble me to my bones, or feed me truth

i called it a CURSE

it grabbed me around the neck and choked me

took me by the wrists and chained me to bottom of the dark abyss i call my heart.

but someone met me there. His name is love and while unchaining me, the buckles that finally loosened revealed scars that i know wont go away. then he showed me His.

i submitted to false gods. i knew their intentions were to chain me and i chased them anyways. still in that- He showed me a pretty lady named Grace. it was at the end of my tracks, hail mairy intercepted. no one was for me, not even myself. a self destructive savage, a shattered man,

it was then i saw

love
